About

There are not many architectural companies just ten years old that can claim an international airport, a large school and Beijing’s first major, low-energy, mixed-use development for ist CV. But then IDA is no ordinary practice. For several years its founder, Winston Shu, worked for one of the world’s great architects, Norman Foster, most notably as lead architect on Hong Kong’s new international airport at Chep Lap Kok. His experience in the design, construction and management of such large-scale projects has proved a unique asset and, entering its second decade, Integrated Design Associates continues to flourish. With work throughout South and Southeast Asia, this book concentrates on just six projects, describing the main principles of their design development in detail.
